Jordan News-meeting to US Peace Corps in TafeelahSenior Assistant Governor of Tafilah Dr. Hakim Al Mahameed opened in Tafilah an encounter session of youth with US peace Corps, and that was in Youth Centre Hall and attended by concerned.

He talked about the common elements that the King founded with rules of harmony and mutual cultures, and made them as example for humanitarian exchange of experiences and competencies which returned good to Jordan and its people.

The representative of the US Peace Corps said there are 60 volunteers from US working in Jordan to develop creations of various projects for youth people and women in local communities by developing micro-projects, nvironmental education, special education and youth development and teaching of English as a foreign language.

"«The US Peace Corps program volunteers arriving Jordan as unofficial ambassadors of the United States and after two years of living in cooperation with the Jordanian communities returning to their country of informal ambassadors of Jordan».

He added «the partnership with Jordan based on principles of cooperation and goodwill and respect, and this friendship to encourage people to work together in youth and education initiatives.

The us peace corps is an independent US Government institutions aimed at promoting understanding between Americans and people of the world programme in Jordan, was established in 1996 and made a number of volunteers in the Kingdom's arrived to almost 430 volunteers.

The meeting which had been held by Directorate of youth was attended by, youth Director Walid Albdainh.
